Walk and Talk Therapy
Research suggests that physical movement, exercise, and accessing therapy are all great for your mental health. Walk and talk therapy is a great way to combine all of these aspects to improve your overall health and wellbeing. It can also be helpful for those who are uncomfortable with the
intimacy of therapy in a counselling room.
Some additional benefits to walk and talk therapy include:
Physical activity releases endorphins which can help with anxiety and depression
Being in a natural environment allows us to be more connected with nature and with our mind and body which can calm our nervous system
Walking can counteract the effects of weight-promoting genes; reduces the risk of developing breast cancer; It eases joint pain and boosts immune function
